Test the demo version free of charge

Would you like to try EPOS-Plan before making a decision? We provide a free demo version. It contains the full range of functions for a sample project, so you can work through the entire process – from determining demand and sizing the generators to evaluating the annual simulation.

What you can test

The demo version uses the same calculation core as the full version: heat demand in 8,760 hourly values, electricity demand in 35,040 quarter-hourly values, heat pumps with complete manufacturer performance maps, boilers, CHP units, solar thermal, photovoltaics as well as thermal and electrical storage. You can load climate data for your location, compare variants, use the result views with annual profiles, load duration curves and key figures, and export time series as CSV files. That is usually enough to judge whether operation, calculation model and level of detail suit the way you work.

How to get access

Send us a short e-mail with your contact details – name, company or university, address and telephone number – to info@inekon.de. You will then receive personal access to our download area where the demo version is available together with the documentation. For universities and research institutions an academic licence is available on request.

Before the first start

EPOS-Plan runs on Windows 10 and 11 and does not require Excel. The necessary runtime components are installed by the setup if needed; details are given under System requirements and Installation and update. For getting started we recommend the Quick start guide and the Examples with worked application cases from a single-family house to a district heating network.

Questions during the trial

The help assistant inside the program knows the area you are working in and searches the integrated help – free of charge and without an internet connection. In addition the FAQ page answers the most frequent questions. If you would like an introduction or an assessment of your specific project, please get in touch.
